| It has been so long since I posted that it literally took me 5 minutes to figure out how to do it again! Life has been one really fun blur the past month and a half. The other night I said to my beautiful bride "this marriage thing feels normal now." To be honest it doesn't take long to adjust when your other half is practically perfect!! We have had so much fun and done a lot of laughing. I have also learned a ton as well, way to much for one post.
People keep asking, what is the one highlight of marriage? I have done a lot of thinking on this. My answer may be somewhat of a surprise, and who knows my answer might change in a week. The highlight of marriage has been the ability to know and understand what it means to be more like Jesus. Yea not exactly romantic...especially for valentines! But it's true!
See, my wife embodies much of who God is, and much of who I am not. She is loving, kind, compassionate, sweet, and the list goes on. Coming in contact with and receiving the benefit from these characteristics of hers has given me a glimpse of who God is. I have also seen my selfishness and sin in a whole new light. Even the desire to live for someone else wanes at times. Jesus gave up His life out of love for me...I have a hard time giving up the remote control sometimes!
All this goes to say. Marriage has been wonderful and picking the right person to marry sure did help!

| The countdown is T-54 days till the wedding! We are now in the process of invitations, planning, etc.(by etc. I mean all those things Steph does that I don't even know she is doing). Next week I move into the townhouse we are going to be renting for a little bit. It's going to be sooo EMPTY! Literally it is going to be me and my futon...no bed, no dishes, no tv, no wife! We do have a wedding shower this weekend though so hopefully I will get some dishes or the nose hair trimmer I registered for.
In other news...it is COLD! I spent the last year in Atlanta, warm Atlanta. Cedarville weather didn't seem that bad as a student because I came DOWN from Toledo. Now that I have switched directions and moved UP from Atlanta I have different view on the weather. This fact has significantly increased my hot cider and coffee intake.
Well I am off to go vote! - I am voting for Mike Dewine because I went to his house once and he was nice - I am voting for Ken Blackwell because Lydia Baker works for him - I am voting no to slot machines because gambling is much better when it is with other people - and I am voting yes to the smoking ban because smoking almost killed me as a child (see pic below)
Let me know if I am voting wrong...

| Below is my failed attempt to integrate photos into my post...this is still a great picture though. Yes in fact it is me have a blast in the mud. Reminds me just to enjoy life no matter what context you find yourself. Even if your situation seems muddy, dirty, and wet learn to enjoy where God puts you.
